Perched  2,000 feet above the city of Hyderabad, Taj Falaknuma Palace, is  a jewel amongst the clouds. Built in 1894, it is the former palace of the Nizams, one amongst whom was rumored to be the richest man in the world at that time. Overlooking the twinkling city of Pearls, this enchanting palace exudes romance and grandeur that takes one back to when the Nizams ruled Hyderabad.

The palace has 60 lavishly decorated rooms and 22 spacious halls. It has some of the finest collections of treasures including paintings, statues, furniture, manuscripts and books

The stunning Durbar Hall, Jade Room and massive 101-seater dining facility bedecked with Belgian chandeliers, assorted gardens and terraces, lend a royal ambience to celebratory events, and adds elegance to business meetings.

One of the highlights of the palace is the state reception room, where the ceiling is decorated with frescoes and gilded reliefs. The ballroom contains a two-ton manually operated organ said to be the only one of its kind in the world.

From the moment you arrive at Taj Falaknuma Palace in a horse-drawn carriage, the palace butlers treat you like royalty. Take a walk through the grand staircase akin to the steps of the Nizams, European royalty, enchanting Begums and distinguished Heads of State.

Day 1

08:30 AM- 9:30 AM –Breakfast

On the way to Charminar pass by Assembly Building. It is the first Legislative assembly that came into being on 1st March 1952 in the old state of Hyderabad. Next comes the Mozamjahi Market for it’s old shops, then the Osmania Hospital which is one of a kind building and then to the High Court. You may have short photo stop in these places to capture the beauty of these centuries’ old buildings.

10:30 AM-11:00 AM – Tea Break

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM- Charminar

The four minarets of the Charminar dominates the landscape of the Hyderabad. The minarets, their domed finials rising from their lotus-leaves cushion, rise high from the ground. The whole structure of Charminar contains various small and ornamental arches arranged in vertical and horizontal fashion. The cornice on the first floor upholds a series of six arches and capitals on each portico, rising to a double-story gallery of the 4 minarets of the structure. The projected canopy, decorative brackets and decoration in stucco plaster, add graceful elegance to the Charminar. On the upper courtyard, a screen of arches topped by a row of square ‘jalis’ provide a delicate charm to this beautiful structure.

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Golkonda Fort

Golconda Fort was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Golconda which flourished in the 14th to 16th century. The fortress was one of the most famous and the biggest in the Deccan plateau, and was built on a 400 ft. high hill and  has three lines of massive fortification walls one within the other. The outer most walls were provided with a deep moat all around covering a vast area of the town. It has 8 imposing gateways and is buttressed with 87 bastions rising to a height of approximately 60 ft.

The temple manifests a blend of Dravidian, Rajasthani and Utkala architecture. It is constructed of 2000 tons of pure white marble.

Collection of antiques  is something everyone indulges in. But collecting artifacts from across the globe seems  a dream. One man who managed to fulfill his dream was Nawab Mir Yousuf Khan, popularly known as Salar Jung III. The Salar Jung Museum is a testament of his passion for arts and antiques. Located in Hyderabad, this museum is known to be the largest one-man collection in the world and serves as a paradise for the connoisseurs of art.

  • Between 11 – 0 days of departure: 100% of the package cost per person  or as advised at the time of booking.
